Twice a year our firm takes time to volunteer in our community. In the past, we have volunteered at St. Mary’s Food Bank and Feed My Starving Children. This fall, we toured a non-profit organization called Duet|Partners In Health & Aging, to learn more about their services. Duet is a nonprofit, interfaith organization that has been serving older adults in the greater Phoenix area since 1981. We learned about the wide variety of services they offer and will use what we learned to help our clients if needed. Duet offers services for family caregivers, grandparents raising grandchildren, congregational health and homebound adults.
Duet’s website states; “No one should have to face life’s aging challenges alone. Too often, older adults and family caregivers feel isolated as they deal with the most overwhelming experiences of their lives. Duet eases the journey by walking alongside the people we serve on the path of caring. From giving rides to the grocery store and medical appointments, to offering health promotion activities and support groups, Duet is here to provide the compassionate help you need. Volunteer. Donate. Ask for help. Together, we are partners in health and aging.”
Please take a moment and review Duet’s website to learn more, https://duetaz.org/. Duet is a wonderful, compassionate organization and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to tour their facilities and experience their hospitality.
